This may not be what you think it is! Our program for this week is offered by Kris Wilson.
The Eastern Hellbender is North America’s largest salamander, and it desperately needs our help. Dr. Rod Williams explains the value of this sentinel species in predicting water quality and what we can do to save both the hellbender and ourselves.
Rod Williams is an Associate Professor in the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources at Purdue University. He received his B.S. in Wildlife Science in 1996, his M.S. in Conservation Genetics in 1998, and his Ph.D. in Evolutionary Genetics in 2007 from Purdue University.
