October is Economic and Community Development Month

Our program for the first week of October was chosen by Deanne Smith from Nilma North, Victoria, Australia. It is a thought provoking insight into advancing economic development and sustainable innovations by focusing on relationship building.

A SHARED Future: Inaugural Team Meeting, March 2017

The inaugural team meeting for “A SHARED Future” (Achieving Strength, Health, and Autonomy through Renewable Energy Development for the Future) took place across three days, hosted by T’Sou-ke Nation. It was the first meeting for this new program of research funded by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), a team grant responding to CIHR’s call for proposals to examine Environments and Health: Intersectoral Prevention Research. The meeting brought together Elders, Indigenous and Settler NGO representatives, and academics from across Canada to discuss A SHARED Future.
